Law graduates passing the All India Bar Examination (AIBE) receive the certificate of practice (CoP) from the Bar Council of India, a mandatory document for legal practice in India. As AIBE XVIII (18) 2023 is a certification-based exam, candidates need to secure minimum qualifying marks to pass.
General category candidates require at least 45% marks, while SC and ST candidates need a minimum of 40% marks to qualify for the certificate of practice.
