On the debut day of campus placements at the Indian Institute of Technology Kanpur (IITK), top-notch recruiters like Microsoft, Navi, Texas Instruments, Qualcomm, and Deutsche Bank made their mark.
The institute proudly announced that a whopping 485 job offers were extended to students during the initial phase of placements in 2023.
Out of these, 428 students secured coveted positions through a mix of campus placements and pre-placement offers (PPOs), marking a significant achievement.
What’s remarkable is that 216 students clinched PPOs from both national and international companies, while 12 students received attractive international job offers, surpassing the conventional hiring methods.
On day 1, Prof S Ganesh, the Institute director, expressed pride in the institution’s commitment to delivering top-notch education and opening doors to bright career prospects for its students. He emphasized IIT Kanpur’s dedication to fostering excellence and empowering students to shine in their chosen fields.
Prof Raju Kumar Gupta, Chairperson of the Students Placement Office at IITK, conveyed heartfelt congratulations to all the successful students, acknowledging their remarkable placements and exceptional offers.
“We extend heartfelt congratulations to all students who have secured placements, including those with exceptional offers, and express our sincere gratitude to the participating companies for their unwavering support in shaping the future of our bright and talented individuals.”
