JEE Main 2024 Session 1 From January 24, Check Admit Card, Exam City Slip Update

JEE Main 2024 Exam City Information

Registrations for the JEE Main Session 1 exam have concluded, and students await the release of their admit cards. Preceding this, the National Testing Agency (NTA) will issue exam city slips containing details about the allocated exam cities.

Applications for the session 1 exam were accepted from November 1 to November 30, with the examination scheduled between January 24 and February 1.

JEE Main 2024 Admit Card Release and Download Process

As per the JEE Main 2024 notification, the exam city slips are set to release in the second week of January. Admit cards will be issued to students three days before their respective exam dates.

    • Visit the official website

    • Enter your application number and date of birth/password
    • Download and print the admit card

Exam Details and Marking Scheme

The JEE Main 2024 exam will be conducted in two shifts, in a computer-based mode, with a duration of three hours per shift. It will be available in 13 languages, featuring 90 questions divided equally among Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics. Each section includes 20 multiple-choice questions and 10 numerical-based questions.

Exam City Slip

  • Expected Release Date: Second week of January 2024
  • Download Link: Same as admit card
  • Purpose: Informs candidates about their allotted exam city

Scoring System

Each correct answer earns four marks, while an incorrect response results in a deduction of one mark. This deduction accounts for one-fourth of the marks allocated for a correct answer. No marks are deducted for unanswered questions. For instance, if you answer six questions correctly and two incorrectly, your score would be calculated as 6 (4) – 2 (1) = 18.

Important Reminders:

  • Bring a valid photo ID (such as Aadhaar card or voter ID) to the exam center.
  • Reach the exam center at least 30 minutes before the exam time.
  • Mobile phones and other electronic gadgets are not allowed inside the exam hall.
  • Follow all the instructions given by the exam invigilator.
