Ajmer: The complete panel of the Rajasthan Public Service Commission (RPSC) decided on Tuesday to defer the Rajasthan Administrative and Allied Services (RAS) Mains exam 2023.
The revised dates for this exam are July 20 and 21 of this year, shifting from the initially scheduled January 27 and 28, which fell on a Saturday and Sunday.
Candidates participating in the RAS mains exam 2023 had been staging continuous protests in Jaipur, urging for a rescheduling of the examination dates.
Last week, Minister Kirori Lal Meena announced that the state cabinet had opted to postpone the RAS mains examination, instructing the RPSC to rearrange the schedule.
Following the cabinet’s decision, the RPSC convened a meeting on Tuesday. After deliberating on the preparations and schedules for other exams, new dates were determined and officially disclosed.
Henceforth, the RAS mains exams are set to take place on July 20th and 21st.
Here’s a summary of the key points:
- New RAS Mains exam dates: July 20-21, 2024
- Originally scheduled dates: January 27-28, 2024
- Reason for postponement: Requests from candidates for more preparation time
