In the previous year, the state’s education ministry collaborated with the Telangana State Road Transport Corporation (TSRTC) to facilitate students’ commute during the board exams. TSRTC offered complimentary rides to all students taking the TS SSC board exams from April 3 to April 13. To benefit from this, students simply had to present their TS SSC admit cards or hall tickets to the bus authorities.
During the 2023 board exams, a staggering 4.90 lakh students had registered for the TS SSC Class 10 exams. The overall pass rate stood at an impressive 86.6 per cent. Notably, girls outperformed boys with an 88 per cent pass rate, surpassing the 84.68 per cent achieved by boys.
To accommodate the challenges posed by the pandemic, SSC conducted six papers instead of the usual 11. These included Telugu, English, mathematics, general science, and social science—a decision made in light of the ongoing situation.
