Bharathidasan University (BDU) has recently revised the dates for its semester examinations. The new dates apply to both undergraduate (UG) and postgraduate (PG) programs, as well as diploma and certificate courses.
According to the controller of examinations, S Srinivasa Raghavan, the upcoming exams are set for December 21 and 23, with a break for Christmas holidays.
They’ll resume on December 26 and end on December 28 for students in non-autonomous colleges, as outlined in a recent press release.
Initially planned for December 11 to 16, the exams were postponed last week due to administrative reasons. These exams are vital for the students studying across 145 colleges—comprising 24 autonomous and 121 non-autonomous colleges—that are affiliated with Bharathidasan University. The autonomous colleges have already finished their exams.
Additionally, recent news reported the release of revised schedules for engineering semester exams by Anna University. Originally slated for December 4 to 7, these exams, due to cyclone Michaung, will now span from December 11 to February 17 in affiliated colleges.
Here are the key changes:
- UG examinations (2016 and 2022 batches onwards): Originally scheduled to begin on December 4, 2023, the exams for UG programs have now been postponed by two days. The revised start date is December 6, 2023.
- PG examinations (2020 and 2022 batches onwards): The PG exams were initially set to commence on December 5, 2023. However, they have now been pushed back by one day. The new start date for PG programs is December 6, 2023.
It’s important to note that these revised dates are only for non-autonomous affiliated colleges. The exam schedule for autonomous affiliated colleges may differ.
