Purpose of KCET and Application Process
KCET Revised Exam: KCET serves as an eligibility test for admission to engineering, veterinary, and pharmacy courses, conducted by the KEA. To streamline the application process and reduce time spent on physical document verification, the KEA has introduced an “application-cum-verification” module. This module aims to expedite the process by enabling document verification during the application submission itself.
Application Process Details
S. Ramya, Executive Director at KEA, highlighted that the application-cum-verification module will use SATS/Revenue Department web service to verify entries related to school study, Kannada medium, caste, income, etc. Candidates are advised to meticulously fill in details and upload necessary documents to facilitate this streamlined verification process during application submission.
Support and Assistance for Applicants
KEA has trained approximately 250 senior lecturers designated as Master Trainers, who, in turn, have educated College trainers. These trainers will be available in science colleges to assist candidates with the application process. Candidates can seek guidance and resolve queries regarding online applications at their respective colleges.
Accessing Information and Updates
KCET Revised Exam: Additionally, KEA has launched an App downloadable from their website, providing schedules and notifications. This App ensures candidates receive updates without visiting the website frequently. As soon as candidates start registration, they will receive WhatsApp messages regarding their application status. The Candidates Portal allows tracking fee payment status and other application details.
